About this bike

Seller Description:

I’m selling my trusty Specialized Sirrus 1.0 20 (Medium) It comes with a full commuter set up - front and rear mudguards and an excellent pannier/bag combination - ready to hit the streets! Total value of bike and accessories = £645.74 The bike is a Medium (I’m 169cm/5’5”) - full frame size guide provided below. This size is suitable for riders 165-175cm/5’5”-5’9”. I bought this bike during lockdown (like so many others!) and I’ve loved zipping around London on it. It’s a really comfortable, reliable, responsive ride. It can handle urban cycling (and is great in wet conditions). I’ve even done the odd off road section on it too (thanks to following Lost Lanes routes!) - it really can take everything you throw at it. Everything is in perfect working order and well-maintained. The bike had a full service last year and I’ve given it a good clean! The brakes work really well (you get force without slippage) and the gear changes are smooth. The tyres have plenty of life in them - I’d personally look at replacing them in about a year, but it depends on your use. I’m the only person who has owned the bike and I will provide proof of ownership, and transfer ownership on bikeregister.com. Original receipts for the bike and all accessories, including the instruction manual, will be supplied. I’m selling this due to a recent upgrade to a road bike. Sadly there’s not space for both in my life! https://www.specialized.com/gb/en/sirrus-10/p/174693?color=279705-174693 (currently £449, purchased for £450 from Evans in May 2020)

Upgrades:

Bontrager NCS mudguards https://www.trekbikes.com/gb/en_GB/equipment/bike-accessories/bike-mudguards-and-accessories/bike-mudguards/bontrager-ncs-mudguard-set/p/21832/ Both front and rear mudguards, in perfect working order, some minor scratches Currently £55 at Trekbikes Topeak Explorer rack https://www.topeak.com/global/en/product/1528-EXPLORER-29ER-(DISC)-(W-O-SPRING) In perfect working order, some minor scratches, compatible with multiple pannier setups Currently £54.99 at Halfords Topeak MTX Trunkbag https://www.topeak.com/global/en/product/122-MTX-TRUNKBAG-DXP Expanding storage with two zipped folding side bags that can store a huge amount (or be stowed neatly when not in use), one top zipped compartment with an elasticated pocket and a bottle holder. It has a unique mechanism for both ease of attachment/removal and security when on the pannier rack - you slide it into the groove and click the yellow hook under the rack. No faffing with bungee cables or awkward hooks. The material inside has a few marks from a rogue biro pen, but otherwise it’s in perfect working order Currently £86.74 at Halfords Total value of additional parts = £196.74

Damage:

There are a few cosmetic scratches - shown in the photos - from normal use, hence the lower price. For example, there’s a scratch on the crossbar where I’ve been clumsy with a D-lock, and there’s scrape on the chain stay from when I parked it against another bike. The handlebar rubber grips look a little worn but it doesn't affect handling.
