{"product_id":"trek-remedy-8-27-5-2027","title":"Trek Remedy 8 27.5 2022","description":"Used I bought this bike brand new in 2024 in the lovely Dark Prismatic colour. It is a used mountain bike, so it does have some cosmetic marks and scratches consistent with normal use, but I have always looked after it and kept on top of servicing and maintenance.\n\nThe bike has recently had quite a bit of work done to get it running nicely and ready for sale. It has recently had a new Shimano XT 12-speed derailleur and gear cable fitted. The derailleur was set up by my local bike shop and the shifting is working well overall, although they didn’t get it absolutely perfect across every gear, so it may benefit from a small amount of final adjustment.\n\nI have also recently fitted a brand-new 200mm dropper post, along with a new dropper cable and a brand-new dropper lever. The bottom bracket has also just been replaced with a new Shimano MT500 press-fit bottom bracket.\n\nThe brakes are SRAM Code R four-piston brakes, with 2mm-thick SRAM HS2 rotors, 200mm on the front and 180mm on the rear. The brakes have been bled during my ownership using DOT 5.1 fluid and are currently working well.\n\nUp front it has a 160mm RockShox Lyrik Select+ fork, which had a full service and new seals approximately 7 hours of riding ago, around two months ago.\n\nAt the rear is a RockShox Super Deluxe Select+, giving the bike 150mm of rear travel.\n\nThe bike runs on 27.5-inch wheels and is currently fitted with a Schwalbe Magic Mary front tyre and Big Betty rear tyre, which have only been ridden twice. It is set up tubeless.\n\nThere are also several nice upgrades and finishing parts fitted:\n\n- Burgtec Enduro MK3 stem in silver, 35mm reach\n- 780mm bars with 30mm rise\n- DMR Gridlock lock-on grips in purple\n- Deity Deftrap pedals\n- Unite Co bashguard\n- Shimano XT 12-speed drivetrain\n- SRAM Code R brakes with HS2 rotors\n\nI polished the cranks myself around a year ago and have always loved the chrome\/silver look alongside the Dark Prismatic frame. The Burgtec stem and other silver details tie the colour scheme together nicely.\n\nThe bike has been properly maintained throughout my ownership and I have recently spent time getting it ready for sale.
