Your employer buys the bike and you pay them back from your salary. Here’s how that works when the bike comes from MyNextBike.

Ask HR which scheme they run. It needs to be Bike2Work, Cycle Solutions, Vivup or the Green Commute Initiative.

  2. 02

    Find your bike

Scheme bikes are Certified Pre-Owned, listed by business sellers. Agree the price with the seller.

  3. 03

    Ask us to reserve it

Contact us and we’ll hold the bike against a 20% refundable deposit while your voucher comes through.

  4. 04

    Claim your voucher

Send the bike’s price to your provider as your quote. They arrange the salary sacrifice with your employer, usually in 1–3 days.

Questions people ask

Can’t see yours? We’ll talk you through it before you reserve a bike.

What is the Cycle to Work scheme?

A UK government scheme that gets people commuting by bike. Your employer buys the bike and you pay it back from your salary before tax, so you don’t pay tax or National Insurance on it. Nothing is due up front, and the cost is spread over 12–18 months.

Who can use it?

Anyone aged 18 or over in UK PAYE employment, as long as their employer runs Bike2Work, Cycle Solutions, Vivup or the Green Commute Initiative.

How much will I save?

Up to 49%. The exact figure depends on your salary.

Which bikes can I buy with a voucher?

Certified Pre-Owned bikes listed by business sellers. Find the one you want, agree the price with the seller, then contact us to reserve it before you apply.

Why is there a deposit?

We hold your bike against a 20% refundable deposit while your provider processes the voucher, so nobody else buys it in the meantime. You get the deposit back once the voucher is in and delivery is arranged.

How long does the voucher take?

Providers usually take 1–3 days to process the application with your employer.

Is there a maximum bike value?

The scheme has no maximum, but your employer may set one. Check with them before you choose a bike.
