Seller Description:
Used This has done only 860 miles in nine years and is in very good condition. Stored in a dry garage and under a bike cover when it's been transported on the back of our campervan. Lack of use and the sale of our campervan means it has to go. If you're not familiar with the Circe Helios, it's an extremely well made bike that fits inside a medium sized car with the passenger seat down. The overall length is only a whisker longer than a standard bicycle so fits on a tow bar carrier (with a little modification to the carrier) Fitted with a stoker freewheel that allows either rider to stop pedalling. The electric shift 8 speed Shimano hub has had one oil change at around 600 miles / three years ago ... ish. Also fitted with a Cane Creek Thudbuster that takes the edge off bumps. Both chains have less than 5% wear. Both wheels are true. Tyres and inner tubes are original. The original BT-E6010 battery still has 'some' life in it, but can't say for sure how much. Given batteries decay over time, I would guess about 50% capacity remains - but that's a guess. I look after my kit and keep my ebike batteries stored between 30 and 70%. Note that replacements are no longer available. Searching the net, the BT-E8016 appears to be an alternative but will require new mounts. I've seen an identical bike for sale on line with just that conversion. Batteries can also be rebuilt for about the same price as new, but can't say for sure if this Shamano battery can. My thinking behind my asking price is that I believe this bike with an up-to-date battery worth over £2k. The new BT-E8016 costs around £600.00 and the mount is £100.00. Add to that the cost of fittting, say £300.00 ?? Any questions, just ask
