About this bike
Seller Description:
Used For sale is my Vitus Dee e-bike conversion with a 250W Bafang conversion kit. The bike is rated as a size M/L on the official website. I measured the frame at 19”. It would suit anyone with a 32” inseam perfectly. Apart from a few wear and tear marks on the frame and side stand, the bike is in excellent condition with no rust showing. The brakes are still in very good condition as is the chain and gear hub. You can find the full spec of this bike in one of the pictures (taken from the Vitus website). The conversion kit used was the BAFANG BBS01B 36V 250W MID DRIVE MOTOR KIT and was professionally installed by Cycle MOT. The battery is a 36V 14.5Ah Li Ion battery (see pictures). The main features about this bike and the main reasons I chose this frame to convert are: 1. Light aluminium frame Fitting the conversion kit would add a bit of weight but this way the whole bike was still manageable. 2. 3 Speed Shimano Nexus internal gear hub Less shifting to do but still has the ability to climb hills in first gear, take off quickly and get up to speed in second and cruise nicely at lower cadence in third gear. It suited me perfectly. With the internal gear hub, I could also shift whilst stopped so I never had issues with taking off at traffic lights in a high gear. 3. 29er wheels These were the largest wheels I could get at the time and they really help smooth out the bumpy roads in London and are nice and fast as well. 4. Mid-drive motor With the mid drive motor, it was able to use the gears as well as the different battery power settings to get the right amount of power for what I needed. It was able to climb hills much easier than my 250W hub drive bike did. The bike does allow me to cruise along flat roads comfortably at 15 - 20 mph without too much effort. The max range I have managed to squeeze out of the bike so far was ~40 miles on a single charge into and out of Central London. Other things I added to the bike are (see pictures): a) TOPEAK luggage rack b) Front and rear mudguards c) Suspension seat post d) Comfort Saddle e) Side Stand f) Grip Puppy grip covers g) Right side collapsible bar end mirror The bike will also come with two spare inner tubes and the battery charger along with two keys for the battery.Upgrades:
